My Fellow Congregants;
Now that the High Holidays (for this year) are behind us, it is important for us to recognize all of the hard work that helped to make this holiday season a success. When you see these individuals please take a moment to express your appreciation.
To Rabbi Nebel for her excellent leadership and guidance not only during the holidays but throughout the entire year;
To Barry Cohen for another excellent cantorial performance;
To Marty Hirschfield and the Ritual Committee for organizing and coordinating the services;
To all of the people who read from the Torah and chanted the Haftorahs.
To Rose Marks and her Kol Nidre Appeal Committee, who do what is a very difficult job – asking for money. I do want to remind each of you to fulfill your Kol Nidre and Yizkor appeal pledges. These appeals are very important line items in our annual budget.
To Gary Nakash and the Buildings and Grounds Committee for making TBC shine;
To Rebecca Muller and the rest of the Finance Committee for their work in coordinating ticket pick-up;
To Robin Spencer and the Membership Committee for their hard work in coordinating the open houses and getting the word out there about TBC and all it has to offer;
To Cathy Cohen our new office manager.
In addition to these people, the rest of the Board of Directors and Trustees also work tirelessly in helping to make TBC run all year.
By now you should know that it takes many people doing many tasks to run TBC and provide you with the religious and social experience that you have come to expect. Let’s never forget that your TBC Board of Directors and Trustees are all volunteers and do what they do because of their love for TBC. Many of these people work behind the scenes and we should all take a moment to thank them for a job-well-done. I know I will.
