2009 (5769) WILL MARK THE 99TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FOUNDING OF THE BOY SCOUTS IN THE UNITED STATES.

The Suffolk County Jewish Committee on Scouting, services youth within the scouting program. There are 4 religious emblems, Tiger thru Bear=Maccabbee; Cubs thru Webelos=Aleph; Boy Scouts=Ner Tamid and Scouts (boys and girls) 14 years old and over=Etz Chaim. We supply Jewish services at campouts and summer camp. We use the Silverman Chapel at Baiting Hollow Boy Scout Camp. We present ALL Eagle Scouts, Venturer's Silver Award and Sea Scouts Quartermaster Award when invited to their court of honor. We invite ALL scouts of all religions to ALL our events (campouts, Sabbath Services, etc.). We are here to help all scouts as our experience in scouting covers over 100 years collectively. We are a resource for your scouting needs. All you have to do is ask.
We also support the Girl Scouts when the achieve their Gold Award by sending a Beautiful personalized certificate.
We also support the Northeast region and National Jewish Committees. We are always looking for your support. Come join our committee which meets once a month. Send your email address to

Hope to see you next year on May 7, 8 and 9th, 2010 (UPDATED DATE) At Our Annual Conclave at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp. Our theme is "Jeruselam of Gold". We understand some of you are looking for gold! Well come join us and see how it all pans out. As usual, we have lots of good, fun stuff to do. Merit badges, flute/whistle making, flag beads, arrow making, rifle and BB shooting, archery, climbing wall, LOTS OF GOOD FOOD, AND THAT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING.
WE'RE GOING TO THE JAMBOREE IN 2010!!!!! WE WILL HAVE OUR OWN PATCH (IN DESIGN NOW). WE WILL HAVE A CD AFTERWARD WITH ALL THE PICTURES WE TAKE. WATCH FOR THE DESIGN. PATCHES AND CDS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. SO EXCITING!
The Tzofim Israeli Scout Friendship Caravan performances were unbelievable. To all present, thanks for supporting the committee and the caravan.
